Athmuqam - About 84 kilometer from Muzaffarabad via Neelum Road, a small city and district headquarter of Neelum, Athmuqam is a cup like valley which was named Athmuqam due to being 8th station traveling both, from Muzaffarabad to athmuqam and kel to Athmuqam. A "null ah" divides Athmuqam into two parts Athai and Athmuqam.It consist about 8000 population.
Public transport like buses, wagons and jeeps are available from Muzaffarabad to Athmuqam after every 15 minutes.Special booking on demand is also accessible. 

Athmuqam is surrounded by mountains on the all sides which are full of greenery and forests with Deodar, pine,cheer and fir trees. For tourist interest there are two hiking tracks one from Rawta leads to Guther and the second toward Dogga top. There is also a Rest house managed by PWD and many hotels for stay. A project of constructing Guest house and a park on the Iceland,that is in the middle of Neelum river is under process.
